point of view(Glogster, n.d.)
It is 12th of February
1965 and I am taking 29 Sydney University students and Charles Perkins on a bus I had hired out to take action for Aborigines of Australia. Before we left we had the bus checked over to make sure we had everything right. I was worried that we may be abused by the towns we went through from the sign that had been stuck up on the bus. We planned to stop at Moree, Walgett, Dubbo, Warwick, Coffs Harbour and many more places in between. We rose awareness in Aboriginal society because they are people too and they deserve a chance as much as we do. They were here before us and they need to be recognised for it and we need to respect that. I had been inspired to be apart of this trip because of what Martin Luther King Junior in the USA did (Perkins for freedom, n.d.)References:

ReplyDeletei remember when we were told about this protest that was going to occur, with multiple students traveling around to certain towns to stop racial discrimination was exciting but scary at the same time. Our name of our association was known as SAFA, as we left i felt a sign of scared knowing about the shooting in the US, and that could happened to us. Though at the same time i was pleased that we could make a change to many futures. Your blog is ok, cant wait to read more :)
